    Turkey’s most widespread national DIY store chain, Tekzen, is decisively continuing its investments in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. Tekzen opened the store, which is the tenth in the region and second in Diyarbakır on Friday, July 24, in Ceylan Karavil Park Mall.

    The opening of Tekzen’s second Diyarbakır store, which will celebrate its 20th year this year, was made with the attendance of the Director of Installation, Hasan Şener Bilge, Director of Marketing, Mehmet Cem Kızılkaya, Director of Operations, Ekrem Erol, and Regional Director, Mehmet Seval.

    Tekzen Director of Operations, Ekrem Erol, gave information on the store after the opening. Stating that they opened one of the largest Tekzen stores in the region, Erol said that with their new concept they addressed not only men, but also women. Emphasizing that Diyarbakır is a constantly developing province, Erol said: “As you know, Diyarbakır is one of our largest cities and is a constantly growing and developing province. Recently we opened our first store in this city. Now, in Diyarbakır we are opening one of our largest stores in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. Our concept has changed; we are recommending our customers to come and see for themselves. We have turned it into a home beautification center. A DIY store is usually what men think usually think of, but I want to underline that women are also our customers now.”

    Contribution to employment

    Explaining that they have contributed to regional employment with the Diyarbakır store, Erol continued: “In our Diyarbakır store, which is our 104th store in Turkey, we have some 15,000 products. There are 35 employees in that store for now, but including sub-contractors, we employ 50 people. In addition, our discussions with local companies have started; we will make business partnership with local companies unique to here. I hope that our new store will be beneficial and bring the company success.”

    104 stores in 52 provinces

    With its stores in Elazığ, Malatya, Kars, Bitlis, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, and Siirt, Tekzen introduced its 10th store in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. Turkey’s most widespread DIY store chain geographically, Tekzen has become the most widespread national DIY store chain in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia with this last investment. The sales area of Tekzen’s new store in Ceylan Karavil Park Mall in Diyarbakır’s Kayapınar district, Peytaş neighbourhood is 3500 square meters…With this store Tekzen reached 104 stores in 52 provinces of Turkey with some 200,000 square meters of sales area. Almost 14.5% of its turnover is generated by stores in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions, and Tekzen is determined to invest and grow in the region.
