Pioneer of the DIY store sector, Tekzen opened its fourth store in the capital city of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Nicosia. With 103 stores in 52 provinces of Turkey, Tekzen organized a special campaign for the opening of its Nicosia store.
Turkey’s only 100% national capital DIY store chain, Tekzen, accelerated its steps abroad. This year Tekzen will celebrate its 20th year, and it opened its first store in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on May 29 in the capital Nicosia. The opening was performed with the attendance of Chairman of Tekzen Board of Directors, Murat Gigin, Director General, Onur Mertoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Executives, Ahmet Işıkgece, and Director of Operations, Ekrem Erol. Director General Mertoğlu, who spoke at the opening, said that Tekzen was the first DIY store to open in Northern Cyprus. Emphasizing their happiness at opening a store in Northern Cyprus, Mertoğlu said “This investment will have direct or indirect effects on the economy of Cyprus. Investments in Northern Cyprus are on the rise, as a result of which purchasing power has also increased. Therefore we are supporting investments in Cyprus.” After the speech, the new store’s ribbon was cut with applaud. The first DIY store in Cyprus, Tekzen added to its investments abroad with the first store in Northern Cyprus’ Nicosia and increased the number of its stores abroad to four.
The first DIY store in Turkey, Tekzen, is also the first DIY store in Northern Cyprus. Tekzen has 103 stores in 52 provinces of Turkey; it also has two stores in the capital of Romania, Bucharest, and another store in Erbil, Northern Iraq.
Tekzen store is located at 1001 Airport Mall at Yonca Junction, which is the intersection point of all Northern Cyprus urban roads, and has brought Cypriots a 2700m2 sales area, rich product diversity, and 30 employees.
In Tekzen Nicosia store, there are tens of thousands of product varieties from furniture to home and kitchen tools, construction and plumbing equipment to electricity and lighting products, from garden world to pet world.
Within the campaign that will continue between 29 May and 30 June 2015, Tekzen customers can buy several products from bathroom cabinets to bathtubs, carpets to batteries, grass mowers to chandeliers, at prices starting from 24.90TL.
